Privacy Policy

Figureshed is a set of calculators that run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to a server; they stay on your device. The site keeps your US or metric preference in your browser's local storage so it survives a page reload.

Information the site does not collect

There is no account system and no contact form that stores data. The site does not ask for your name, email address or any other personal detail in order to work, and the calculator inputs are never transmitted anywhere.

Information recorded by our hosting provider

Like most websites, the hosting provider that serves this site keeps standard server logs. These records may include your IP address, your browser type and version, the pages you request and the time of each request. They are used to run the site, keep it secure, diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse, and they are not used to identify you personally.

Advertising and cookies

This site may display advertising through Google AdSense to keep the calculators free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google may use advertising cookies to enable it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.

Advertising is currently switched off. If it is enabled in future, this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism will be used where the law requires it.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

Google requires publishers to use a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) before serving personalised ads to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. The CMP collects consent for the use of cookies and personal data for advertising in those regions, and lets you change your choices at any time. Ads that require consent will not be shown in those regions until consent has been given.

Analytics

If anonymous, aggregated analytics are added in future, they will be used only to understand which calculators are useful and to fix problems. Any such change will be reflected on this page.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the site changes. The date at the bottom of the page shows when it was last revised.
